It’s been a while, I know. And unfortunately, I have no excuses. The past month or so I’ve fallen into a bit of a funk. The holidays are just HARD. Work is extremely busy, and we’ve taken on a project at home that is consuming a lot of time. So lately, whenever I’ve found the time to blog, I didn’t have the energy or the inspiration to write something worthwhile.
Alas, here I am, and presenting to you a sneak peek into our bathroom renovation so far!
Before Photos
We’ve come a long way since demo day! The tile is a 4×10″ white subway – and I’m obsessed with it! We realized about half way through the grout we probably should have went with a gray grout instead of white, but still I think it looks amazing. Just going to have to bleach the shit out of it to keep it looking white! lol
In progress!
All the tile is up! Next steps = Hang shelves & grout.
Shelves are hung!
Grout in progress!
Shelves in, grout complete!
I am seriously SO proud of Justin. He has never taken on a renovation like this by himself and has never installed tile before. It looks absolutely incredible! This weekend we plan to apply a sealant over the tile, and begin painting — which is where I come in! Painting the ceiling white, obviously, and I am thinking a “greige” color for the walls.
For now we are leaving the floor as is, but it could be a project we tackle down the road. I’m still deciding if I want to keep or replace the sink faucet, towel bars, and light fixture, and I’m on the lookout for a new shower curtain and rug.
I’ll post another update when the reno is fully complete, so be on the lookout for that!
