If you live in the midwest, you can sympathize with me when I say it has been so gloomy here the past couple weeks. Ohio has been absolutely drowning in rain! While it still doesn’t feel like summer, we finally have a little bit of sunshine this week, and I could not be happier about it.
It’s been a while, so I thought I would share some current favorites for the month of June!
TV/Netflix/Hulu
Dead to Me (on Netflix) totally reminded me of the thriller-type books that I like to read.
The plot follows one quirky heartbroken woman (Linda Cardellini) who tries to befriend another grief-stricken woman (Christina Applegate) at a support group. As the story unfolds, every episode will have you on the edge of your seat.
Justin & I watched the whole series in two or three days. Another fantastic Netflix original, and luckily it’s been signed for a second season!
This past weekend we started re-watching The OC (on Hulu). We both loved this show years ago when it was popular, so when we saw it pop up on our browsing list we immediately hit PLAY. Seth’s one-liners will never get old! Caaaliforniaaaa!
Books
Completely switching gears from TV, the book A Love Letter Life was super cute and inspiring. If you’re familiar with the TLC show, Little People Big World, this book is an autobiographical love story by Jeremy & Audrey Roloff, who both used to star on the show. The book walks you through their love story from start to finish, from the friendzone to dating, to their wedding day. It’s definitely got some religious elements to it, but not in an in-your-face way.
Jeremy & Auj offer their readers some great tips for building your relationship, applicable to whatever stage you may be in (single, dating, or married), about how to be intentional and creative with your love, and always giving more.

Sports
If you know me at all, you know that I am completely obsessed with the US Women’s National Soccer Team (Justin even proposed to me with a USWNT jersey!) so to say that I am excited about the 2019 FIFA World Cup would be an understatement. I have been taking time off work for the afternoon games so I don’t miss a single second, and streaming the live games from my computer when I can’t.

I am crossing my fingers and holding my breath for another US World Cup Victory!
Food
We can’t get enough of these blackened chicken tacos with mango salsa! They’re the perfect balance of spicy & sweet. Drop a comment below if you want the recipe!
Beauty & Skincare
I got a sample of the new Kiehl’s Calendula Serum-Infused Water Cream with my Sephora order and I have been totally in love with it. It sinks in super quickly, is full of skin-loving ingredients, and works well under makeup. My bestie works for Kiehls, and I think it’s no coincidence that everything that she has a hand in producing ends up being amazing!
Drop a comment below if you’d be interested in a full skincare routine. I have tons of skincare favorites I could share!
Oh, and I got 5 inches chopped off of my hair this month. It was time for a change!
Crafts
I’m still loving my Cricut machine! Here’s a few recent gifts I’ve made.
