Mother’s Day 2020

So many friends and family this year have wished me a Happy “First” Mother’s Day. While I know every one of them have good intentions, that phrase just didn’t sit right with me.  For me, I’ve been a MOM since the very moment I got a positive pregnancy test. While this may be my first happy Mother’s Day, celebrated with my baby here on earth, this is my third Mother’s Day.

Since we are still quarantined, I spent the day much like any other – soaking up as much baby snuggles as I could. We had a couple of photo shoots throughout the day, too. Her shirt says “Mommy’s Miracle” (thank you, Steph!) and mine says “Mama” with a rainbow.

No words could ever express how grateful, and how incredibly happy I am to be spending this year’s Mother’s Day with a healthy baby in my arms. It has been one hell of a journey, but one I wouldn’t trade for the world.

Thank you, my babies, for choosing me to be your Mommy.

Happy Belated Mothers Day to all of you: mothers, grandmothers, great grandmothers, doggy moms, angel moms, those wishing to be moms, and everyone in between.  I hope your day was special!
