Life, Traveling

The Petes [Plan To] Take Vegas

After our third loss, we decided we needed a vacation.

We didn’t have any travel plans set in stone for 2019 since we didn’t know what our pregnancy journey would look like. Since conceiving and losing our third baby, we thought a change of scenery is just what our souls need.

“Where can we go… that’s warm and sunny… crawling with entertainment… with luxurious pools and scrumptious cocktails… far away from every stress?” we thought.

Duh!  Las Vegas, of course!

ThePetesTakeVegasWe have been itching to go back since our impromptu honeymoon in 2017  (because, where else can you travel to with only 24 hours notice?!) and what better time to go than now?

We couldn’t afford to stay at the luxurious Cosmopolitan again, but we did manage to score a deal at The Mirage!

The Mirage might not have rooms with walk-out balconies overlooking the Bellagio fountains, but it does have the most beautifully kept grounds of any LV resort.  They also have a dolphin habitat exhibit (which we are sooo doing!), a sweet pool, and an awesome volcano fire feature out front – which wasn’t there when we visited in 2017.  The Mirage is also home to the Beatles LOVE Cirque du Soleil show, which we attended and really enjoyed.

We’ll be traveling at the end of May, which means I have exactly 7 weeks to feel comfortable in a bikini. YIKES!  This trip, we haven’t planned much more than lots of gambling and relaxation in the Nevada sunshine.

Justin is looking forward to exercising his photography skills, capturing all the sights that the Las Vegas has to offer. I’ll be sure to blog about our trip when we return!
