5 Things I Loved in July

July always seems to be a pretty good month for us, with summer being in full swing, and this year was no exception.  We celebrated the 4th of July with fireworks and friends in the beginning of the month, and topped it off with Justin’s 37th birthday at the end of the month!

Here’s a super quick recap of 5 things I loved in July.

Books

Our Little Lies by Sue Watson –  This thriller really drew me in and the further I got into it, the harder it was for me to put down.  I kept thinking I knew where she was going, only to be knocked sideways. This thriller will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very last page!

Our Little Lies: An absolutely gripping psychological thriller with a brilliant twist

I just started another book by the same author,  The Woman Next Door by Sue Watson –  and I anticipate it to be just as good!

Beauty

L’Oreal Bright Reveal Pads – As a cystic acne sufferer for many years, I know that basically nothing works to heal the red, painful bumps.  Since I started using these pads though, I have noticed a definite improvement in my skin.  These pads are chalked full of acids that do magical things for my skin in terms of clarity, inflammation and brightness. Definitely recommend. I actually just ran out, and need to get to Target STAT to pick up more!

Bliss What-a-Melon Jelly Moisturizer – This moisturizer is so light and refreshing (perfect for the hot, sticky summer weather!), and feels essentially like water on your skin. It contains many skin-loving vitamins and minerals, electrolytes for balancing, cucumber water extract for moisturizing, and willow bark extract for natural, gentle exfoliating. Not to mention, it smells exactly like juicy, fresh watermelon!

I also picked up the What-a-Melon Toner, but I have only used it a few times since I have been so obsessed with the L’Oreal pads.

Jewelry

Kendra Scott Jewelry – After eyeing the Kendra Scott signature line for about the past two years, I finally treated myself while we were in Las Vegas.  I picked up this necklace and these earrings, and have been wearing these pieces every day since! The iridescent druzy stone is so beautiful, and goes with everything. Unfortunately, though, I might have created an addiction, because I keep adding more pieces to my wish list. I am completely in love with the bright teal and bright pink pieces in the summer collection and I’m anxiously waiting for them to go on sale.

Home

We gave our garage a facelift by adding hardware and “windows” to the garage door. Spoiler alert, they’re magnets!

After a friend posted about them on Facebook, I knew I had to try them myself!

I’m going to do my best to post a little more often this fall. What are some things you guys would like to see? Leave a comment below with your suggestions!
