Hello again! I’m popping on quickly today to tell you about our 2021 Thanksgiving weekend.
What we once celebrated as “the biggest bar night of the year,” the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, was spent at a low-key Brewery with a few friends. Morgan had an absolute blast with her friends Maddie & Eliza, while us parents enjoyed a couple of beverages and some delicious food.

On Thanksgiving Day, we watched the Macy’s parade and ate cinnamon rolls for breakfast. Morgan saw the Chase balloon from Paw Patrol, and Santa (or as she calls him, Ho Ho) at the end. We missed the Sesame Street float while she was in the bath. Shhh don’t tell her!

Oh, and Morgan got to eat a Turkey cookie with her breakfast. 🙂
We visited with Justin’s family for a bit before heading over to my Aunt’s for dinner. Morgan was not a fan of the mashed potatoes or sweet potatoes (HUH!??) but she did eat a lot of turkey and corn!

Ugh, I can’t get over how big she looks in these photos!
She enjoyed running around crazy in Auntie Bebe’s big house, and playing the piano.

While we did have a pretty awesome Thanksgiving, I would be lying if I said I wasn’t sad to be missing our normal Chicago celebration. Next year, Covid better be a thing of the past so we can have an awesome T-Day in the Windy City with all our family!
The rest of the weekend was spent decorating our house for Christmas, and finally visiting Morgan’s angel brothers at the cemetery. We ordered a memorial brick back in the summer and it is finally in!

I’ll end this post with the obvious. I am most thankful for my beautiful daughter, her three angel brothers that led us to her, and their awesome Daddy. My world would not be the same without all of you! I love you so much! XOXO
